Win 98 Simulator (Windows 98) - Yes, this is real.It supports multiple file formats, game language switch support, and hardware controller support. NGP.emu (NeoGeo Pocket) - A NeoGeo Pocket emulator that works well.
MAME Neo Arcade Emulator (NeoGeo) - The ads with this game aren’t great, but compatibility is good, and it’s one of the few competent NeoGeo emulators. It’s still in active development and it’s quite buggy, but it could get better over time.
EmuBox (multi-console emulator) - EmuBox is an okay multi-console emulator with support for a few different consoles. C64.emu (Commodore 64) - C64.emu is the only consistently updated Commodore 64 emulator and comes with plenty of features. It’s sleek, refined, and works well with every game we tried. 2600.emu (Atari 2600) - A reasonably good Atari 2600 emulator for playing classics like Pac-Man. It takes a minute to set up and learn how to use, but every emulator user should have it as it basically adds cloud-saving support to every emulator. This is an amazing app that lets you backup all of your save states, emulator files, etc, and then restore them on another device. It basically lets you take any folder on your phone and back it up to the cloud. Just keep it legal yo, or we’ll be coming round your house. We’d also like to give an honorable mention to Autosync by MetaCtrl ( Google Play). If you’re interested in getting your retro game on then you can head on over to the Google Play store and download the free app. Just take a look at the reviews the app has received on the Google Play app market. We’ve yet to give it a whirl (digging out old CD’s takes time) but we’ve heard from multiple sources that the emulator works really well on top-end Android devices. The Sega Saturn might not have been the most capable of consoles, but it did receive more than its fair share of great games, so it should come as some great news for retro enthusiasts that a new emulator has released on the Android Google Play store that allows Sega Saturn games to be played – reasonably well, too. Now we can add another console to that list: the Sega Saturn. We live in an age where we can play PS One, Nintendo 64, SNES, Sega Mega Drive and many more old console games on our smartphones. The Android app store is flooded with plenty of emulators, some of which work well, and some that are nothing but a clone of another one. While it’s a little bit of a grey area, emulation is, for the most part, quite legal providing you adhere to copyright rules. Emulation is a great way to enjoy some golden oldies without having to dig out the aging consoles from the attic, or pay through the nose to get hold of a working machine.
